I was always interested in music from a very early age.
My Dad played with one of the top showbands in the 1960’s The Dave Glover band, so music was always around my home when I was growing up.
On my 7th birthday, I was given the present of my first pocket transistor radio, at that time, the offshore radio stations were in full swing, so for hours I was hooked on Radio Caroline North and Radio Scotland, the pirate DJ’s got me hooked on all the great sounds of the 60’s, even then I wanted to be on the radio.
I began as a Club DJ in the early 70’s with discos all over Ireland before getting a slot on hospital radio where I learnt the ropes very quickly.
I got my first offer of a job in radio in 1977 with a weekend show before being asked to take over the mid morning show.
So I’ve worked my way up and down the dial over the last 40 years places like Gran Canaria, Majorca, Ibiza, Ireland ,UK, Australia, New Zealand , USA and Scotland and loved every minute.
Musical tastes vary really, from Classical to Jazz , Bowie to The Beatles and Abba to ZZ Top!
