The Belfast Glider – Interview with Robin Scott

Written by on August 31, 2018

3rd September 2018 marks a notable date in Belfast. A brand new mode of transport, the Gilder, officially launches. A mixture of technology in one vehicle, a hybrid of diesel and electric power, will reduce the emissions for our city’s residents. Connecting East and West, passengers will have easier access to the Royal Victoria and Ulster hospitals, be able to travel on bus lanes which will operate 12 hours a day – 6 days a week. All of this will speed up the commuters’ journeys along with being transported in comfort, having free wi-fi and usb sockets to charge their portable devices.

Listen again to Robin Scott’s conversation with Cinty Stubberfield, the Project Communications Manager, and hear about his special trip across the city. He sampled local food, was entertained by local talent, and recorded the experience for Belfast 89FM.
