The 4 star Great Northern Hotel is on the door step to all action packed activates in Bundoran. Why not enjoy a round of golf on site at the Great Northern Hotel or If it’s a more relaxed activity you are looking for – why not enjoy Bundoran's famous walking trail, “Rougey cliff walk”, and the astounding views will leave you breathless.
Then there's Bundoran's Blue Flag Beach which is located just a stone's throw away from the Great Northern Hotel right on the Wild Atlantic Way. This fabulous sandy beach faces Donegal Bay and the Atlantic and is the ideal place to blow the cobwebs away, inhale the bracing Atlantic breeze and enjoy the many surfers taking advantage of the Atlantic surge. This beach has received the International Blue Flag award for 2015.
Lunch is at your own discretion and as Bundoran’s main street is only 250 metres away, there are lots of activities to get involved in and many amenities within walking distance, including cafes, restaurants and local bars. Lunch is also available at the Great Northern Hotel but is not included in your tariff.
Belfast 89FM listeners are also invited to a local history session which will take place in the hotel bar at 3.30pm on Saturday afternoon. This talk will be hosted by Marion Fitzgerald, local historian and broadcaster on Ocean FM - the theme for the session will be "South Donegal - it's history and personalities." There is no charge for this session which promises to be enlightening, entertaining and a further opportunity to get to know and enjoy the company of fellow Belfast 89FM listeners.
Our evening meal is scheduled for 7pm in the Tir Connaill restaurant but before that, why not enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the bar. Great Northern Hotel's head chef Gerard Lally and his team have promised to serve up a memorable four course evening meal for the entire Belfast 89FM party.
Then, it will be time to enjoy Belfast 89FM's 60s and 70s party with music by one of Donegal's top party bands, Copperhead.
